The purpose of this institute is to use bioresources to develop products and technologies that are helpful for society, and together with the three departments of Bioproduction Science, Environmental Science and Food Science, the institute functions as a base for research that supports local development.
The library has approximately 88,000 books and 1,400 magazine and journal titles centered on the specialist areas of agriculture, food and biotechnology, freely available to be accessed by students.
Our university has a wide variety of Liberal Arts courses available so that students can acquire the skills to deal with and solve issues they are confronted with, as well as become well-rounded.
The objectives of the Scientific Cooperation Center for Industry Academia and Government are to promote interaction between industry, academia and government and to contribute to the community, in order to improve cooperation with the local community as well as local companies.
The University Farm is a field for hands-on study with nine hothouses and a barn for livestock practicums in addition to approximately 3 ha of farmland. Here, we hope that students can learn a wide range of the latest agricultural technologies.
